This accessory provides a consistent depth control when milling/engraving. The pressure is regulated by means of a spring, with engraving/milling depth finely adjustable in the order of hundredths of a millimetre by adjusting the teflon-coated nose cone, which aslo ensures smooth gliding over materials without scratching their surfaces. This depth limiting control unit comes with a linear rail with re-circulating ball bearings for smooth-operation and high accuracy.
The item is also recommended for use in milling circuit boards/PCBs where the depth can be maintained independently from variations in material thickness or plainness of the table surface. Once mounted, the engraving depth control can be retained in-situ, in clamped mode, where it can be used for standard milling work due to its high stability.
