The user manual for the Zero3 controller box, which includes pinout information, is available in our support area https://www.prototools.co.uk/?target=support. If you need a user manual for the Zero2 or the original controller unit Zero1, then please contact info@cnc-step.com to request that information. They will be happy to assist you with this request.

I have a PC running Windows XP. How do I connect this PC to the Control Box. Is it via a USB Connection or parallel port?

My PC does not have a parallel port only USB

Assuming you're running with WinPC-NC USB controller software, then the connection is via a USB2.0 port. WinPC-NC USB comes with a dedicated hardware controller module that offloads all the real-time signal generation away from Windows and onto the hardware module, this means that the load on Windows is very low, it just sends some serial text down from Windows to the controller via the USB port. Check out the video in the support area that shows you how to connect up the system. There is also connection information provided along with the printed user manual, supplied along with the machine purchase.

Yes, WinPC-NC USB is compatible with WinXP or later. Your PC will need to have a spare USB2.0 port.

I understand I don't need to take the T Slot Table as I only ever will be carving wood. How do I fit the 'sacrifice board'?

If you intend to make your own sacrificial bed plate, just buy a set of the T-Groove nuts from the accessories section. You slot the nuts into the machine frame ends and this then presents M6 threaded bolting locations for you to attach your bed plate to. You then drill holes in your bed plate aligned with the T-Groove nuts in the framework. Note that you would likely also need to stack some material underneath your bed plate (if it's made of wood) to ensure it is supported and does not sag.

The T-Groove bed is made from extruded aluminium plates that are bolted onto an additional aluminium supporting framework underneath. This makes it a rigid assembly, which you can also easily add/remove if needed.
